School-wise, my last month on St. Maarten was filled with comprehensive exams (basically covering everything we have learned over the past 2 years). We had to pass one 4 hour comprehensive exam and one 8 hour comprehensive exam, as well as pass all of our classes, in order to be cleared to leave the island and take the Step 1 Licensing exam. I am happy to say that I passed all of my exams and did great in all of my classes during my last semester!
Our last month was also filled with fun times on the island. We tried to cram as many fun activities as possible into the last month and it was a great time! Some highlights included hiking to the top of Fort Louis on the French side, my 5th Semester party at a beautiful hotel on the island, an Easter beach volleyball tournament with friends followed by a night out on the French side that did not end until 5 am, Westin brunch, many nights out with our favorite island friends, of course many days at the beach, and much much more!! Below are some picture highlights of our last month:

During our last month, Mike also sailed to the island of St. Kitts with some of his friends to participate in a swim between the islands of Nevis and St. Kitts. He came in 10th place out of about 100 competitors so he did great! He also said that he had an amazing time sailing and spending the weekend with his island friends and he said it was a trip he will never forget!

To end our time on the island, we were lucky enough to have Mike's parents Brian & Martha visit during our last week. It was a PERFECT way to finish our time on the island because we got to act like tourists and do the most fun activities during our last week!! Below are some picture highlights of their visit and our LAST week on St. Maarten:

So in the end, we HAD to leave our island home :( It was very sad to leave such a great place and it was also especially sad because we were leaving the first home that Mike and I had together. But now we are on to great things and on to figure out the next direction our lives will take! :)
We had SUCH an amazing experience on the island and I don't think we will ever forget our time spent in St. Maarten!!! I can't believe how lucky we are to have spent two years there and we had such a wonderful time living our wonderful island life together for the past 2 years!!! :)
